Rio Gold Premier Fly Line Freshwater Lines

The RIO Gold is one of the best all around floating lines the world over and for good reason. The line features a long head and back taper allowing for amazing line and loop control at a variety of distances. The front taper provides perfect presentations for fly sizes #2 to #22 for both rivers and lakes. 

The RIO Gold line now featrues the new Slickcast coating – RIO’s proprietary material – that is super slick and provides added durability over the life of the line.  Lab tests show that lines built with SlickCast have the least amount of friction ever measured in a fly line. In addition, the line features MaxFloat Tip Technology, RIO’s proprietary tip coating formula that floats more than twice as high as regular line tips, without any increase in diameter.
